View Full Version : Possibly Dysfunctional Commands in Alice3

A few of the commands associated with subparts of some Alice3 model would seem to be dysfunctional when applied to the skeleton structure of the Alice3.
I call it the "Broken Neck Syndrome".
The attached World shows a few that I tested.

Again, the Forum doesn't allow the uploading of Alice3 worlds, so it's zipped.

Thank you for sharing this project with us... The behaviors you are showing, are to say the least, "interesting". At the least, "turn to face" does not seem to make sense on terms of the joints and should possibly be removed from the menu of possible commands for joints.

At the worst, something is broken and needs to be fixed.

I will pass this on to the development team.

I have been informed but he development team that it is known bug that "Turn to Face" does not work correctly for objects whose vehicle is not the scene.

All joints and subparts of an object has the object as its vehicle, not the scene.

This also means that if you set one object as the vehicle for another, than turn to face will not work correctly for the passenger... You will need to have the vehicle object turn to face the chosen target.

Yeah, makes sense- The pointAt seems to work pretty well for sub-parts. I threw the bed in to test the differences between the two commands for entire objects. Wouldn't want entire objects unintentionally picking themselves up off the ground.

Syndromes compared to disorders are a WHOLE different story.

Took it... hmm... a little too far.
