Alice is a very unique and cool program, but it sucks because it has like over 1000 bugs! I mean I can't even get my world to run because there's a "bug!" For God's sake, I can't even exit my world without it saying that there is a "bug!" I mean, how can anyone even use this program?! Can't the people that make this **** at least test it on a different computer!!!!
GEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad:: mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hey Rage, if you want spoon-fed cheese with your whine, buy the software you think will make it easy to learn OOP. I'm sure those vendors will happily take your money and still deliver buggy code.

Work to learn the craft, pal.

Rage, by any chance are you a Mac user?
I use the Windows version at school, and it works wonderfully.

I'm a Mac user so at home I use the Mac version, and it is horrible.
Buggy as hell, slow as ****. I can't get over how buggy it is.

If I had access to a Windows computer I would use that version over it anyday. I appreciate the effort to make the port, but it dosn't help if it makes me want to do a facedesk every 5 minutes.

Strangely, I have to disagree. I use the PC version at school and have the hardest time. At home I use a mac and it works FANTASTIC.

I use a Mac at home, PC at school.

At home with my Mac:
Saves fast, loads fast, but very buggy

At school with PC:
Slow as hell, loading and saving take like 2 minutes but not very buggy

Your computer may be stupid. Mine is from 2001, but Alice 2.0 works fine.

Rage...ALice works fine for some people. What OS are you using. What are you putting in your game? how big is it? What system? Is it installed correctly?

Check all of those....

An old thread from a disgruntled, inactive user?

Good choice for a bump, people.

CoherentCharlie

1000 bugs!!!
First of all: More like OVER NINE THOUSAND bugs! ROFL
Second of all: I understand! Alice confuses me as well. When I try to submit a bug, it splatters the bug's stupidity all over the place by saying "Error posting bug to the database".

It is very hard to tell why your computer does that? But first, are you using the Windows Version or the Mac Version. Everybody wants to know, and so do I. I have no problems with Alice 2.2 for Windows at all. Well, I did, but over time, I managed to find out what was causing them. An error when I tried to run my world was not one of them, but when I add sound to my videos, I still get an error.

What Kel is saying is sad, but true. Bought software may be no better than free software. Sad but true. I am 12, but I am old enough to understand that that is how the world works. :(

Lol jediaction, he knows it more than you do. The "What? Nine Thousand?" line is what the character asks vegeda after he says that the power level is over nine thousand. Look it up on youtube.

K its just that you sounded as if you didn't think he knew where it was from, when actually he was just continuing the joke.

This thread is old, but I never pass on an opportunity to add closure to such a thing as the 9000 debacle. Here is the original clip:

On the other hand, I disagree with your conclusion that Alice is a sub par program. It has been of much use for me in creating data recovery codes and working to save some essential information. Have you guys ever heard of datanumen (http://www.datanumen.com)?
