I was just wondering if anybody has made or found a FEMALE lion model - as in a lion without a mane...

Also, if there is not one around, I was wondering if it was possible for me to edit the current lion version somehow? If so how?

(Note: I guess it's obvious I'm new at this? lol Today was my first day of a class that uses Alice, at the end of the class we will have to do a presentation and I reallllllly would like to use the one I have in mind - but it requires a female lion, nothing else can be a substitute.)

Thanks For Any Help In Advance~

P.S. I'm currently downloading the trial version of 3ds Max to attempt to make my own model.......I doubt I'll be able to but if I can make a nice one I'll post it here!

A little quick manipulation will give you a start.

1. Make the head “isShowing” False – then make the face “isShowing” True again. This gets rid of the mane.
2. Shrink the overall animal by about .9, then restore the head to the original size. This gives somewhat more female body proportions (IMO).

You could also work with the object colors and textures some – but this minimal effort does give you both sexes of lions. You also still have all of the objects methods, including some walks – something you’d have to recreate if you imported a new model.

Please do come back - and anyone else who has similar questions - come back also.

This is the sort of minor detail that the forum is great at working with. :)

Great only because DrJim and others like him have such creative and productive minds.

For some of us who are less creative, turning the male line into a female lion would be more than a minor detail.:o

Thanks DrJim for helping this person with his project. I hope that my students will find people who are as helpful as you.
