This is a nice program, but paying $3500 to get software to make custom objects is a bit absurd. I would like to see import options that other applications could handle. Maybe Blender? It just seems silly to have to use such an expensive tool to make items for something that is free.

We hear you loud and clear. We understand how important it is to be able to import from a variety of 3D modeling software, including open source.

I fully agree! Blender is now actually becoming a sort of open source standard tool for rendering, and it definitely has enough features to be used fruitfully in conjunction with Alice.
