Help in a Top-Down game

So here is the Scenario that I'm troubled With

I have a revolver that shoots a laser
the laser needs to get within a curtain distance of a Seagull,
THAN the Seagull needs to disapear...

Any ideas why or alternatives?

Never mind I found that if I loop the statment, it's more than a one second comand.:D
