Trying to land a jet onto a carrier?

I'm trying to complete a scene which goes as follows:

There's a carrier that's slowly moving in the scene, then a jet appears. It attempts to land by first positioning itself then taxiing onto the carrier. All this while the carrier is in constant motion. The jet then flies off.

All I've done so far is put the objects into the world and now I'm fiddling with methods to see what would work. I'm working with Alice 2.0 by the way, so could someone explain to me what would work or point me in the right direction? A little nudge ought a do it.
