i found a model that i liked on http://artist-3d.com/index.htm and i downloaded it and its not coming up in the Alice gallery how do i get it on Alice.

You will have to convert the mesh for the original model to .ase format and then import both that and the accompanying texture into Alice separately.

I've tried models like those before, and I've noticed that the picture often looks very different when the model is loaded into Alice (likely due to Alice's lack of rendering capabilities). I've also noticed that there often aren't any textures for models like those. Is this the case for those models?

another good website is turbosquid
it requires a membership (free) there are heaps of models
but most of them cost $$ i just go for the free ones! :D
