roll a character forward

okay so i have made my first little animation up to the point, where a guy runs up to the camera flexes and then shoots up and turns away from the camera in mid air, and then i want him to shift so he is laying on his tummy in mid air, yknow like super man and fly into the sunset.
tell me how i can do this, ive tried poses but all it does is pose him in the stance, i want his entire figure to roll forward, but the only option is to roll the charater left or right.
how do i do this guys
how do i make his figure roll forward?

I could be wrong, but I think what you are looking for is to turn forward or backwards.
