So I finally found out how to import Battlezone 1 geometry into my Seagull Evader project, but I cant give the pilot the right skin texture, but I am assuming that alice can only accept simple skin textures. Anyway I'll attach the skin texture and model...

My connection to the Alice server is acting up tonight and I couldn't redownload the texture file or see the .jpg. However, if what I remember and downloaded from the forum yesterday is correct, the texture file only contained a texture - not the object to be textured in any format.
To help with the actual object, I'd probably need the source (.3ds or .obj) file, though I might be able to do something with the .a2c file. If you want to post those, I'll take a look.
What you basically have to do to match a texture to a surface is something called UV mapping. If you are lucky (I'm usually not), that will already have been done for the whole object (test with something like Anim8or) and "all" :) you will have to do is convert the object correctly and then import the texture to Alice separately.
More likely, you'll have to redo the whole UV mapping process. Describing that is way beyond the scope of a forum posting - and also quite tool dependent. It also depends on the hierarchy of the object (for which I'd need the .a2c file). If the original object was articulated (skin and bones), it would be nearly impossible to import into Alice directly in any useful manner.
Woops - The forum started working and I can see the .jpg. What you first need to do is see whether the object is a single object or has a reasonable hierarchy (body/arms/hand etc.). If it does, it may just be easier to retexture or just color the individual parts.

Not as easy as it sounds:o. The battlezone Models are compressed into a ZFS File, so I used unszfs to extract them (The skin textures are seperate files. Once extracted I downloaded a special 3ds max plugin for importing yet antother file type specificly for battlezone. I'll just use good ol LEGO Matt for my weapon simulator
