View Full Version : How do I put my alice world on a web page? Web Client

I saved the world to my desktop as an html thing. And i open it in safari and it says downloading and extracting....the downloading bar loads but the extracting bar doesnt do anything. I go to the link at the bottum and downloaded all the requirements. Restarted my browser, restarted my computer, nothings working. Please help :) Thanks.

I have encounter the same problem. But somebody say it's a bug in Alice. But I am not sure, maybe I should asked does anyone success in export the world in to html.

Ive been able to save it as an html. That part is easy. Just do file and save as web page or whatever. The problem is opening it with a web broswser. It doesnt load.

Me too, export is simple, but export successfully is "impossible"? Anyone got success case?

No, unfortunately. :mad: There is a good description of the problems) elsewhere in the forum, but it will take a bit of searching to find.

One posting is at http://www.alice.org/community/showthread.php?t=709&highlight=export . If you search for browser, you can probably find others -but they really say the same thing, namely export to web page doesn't work.

It should be a path issue. I have exported almost sevevral worlds to Web pages. A few of them are available on my alice site "http://www.tech4dreams.com"
If you can attach your world file, I willl attempt to check what the issue is and inform you accordingly
I havent found many issues in exporting to a Web page, but the probelms are that some features like 'speech bubble" "variables", "game controls" etc dont work. But if yours is a simple animation it should have no major issues working as a web page, as you can see on my site
