surface alignment problem

On occasion I have found that I accidentally tilted a surface (e.g., a lake) and then my Skater now skates at times below or above the lake surface depending upon her XY locus. Am I correct about the cause of this problem? And, how best to fix the problem. Thanks.

To be a bit of a smart ass :p - I suggest you don't tilt the lake (a 2D plane). Alice is really a 3D program, and doing the conversions necessary to work on a tilted plane would really take a lot of work.
