That is not much of a game though the objects may help.

I can see its still rough but I like the gravity. The difficult thing will be to have many platforms using the method you are currently using.

You will end up with many many conditional statements. A better idea may lie in making a global variable of type object and based on the position of your character set objects in your world equal to that variable.
