Solving your own programming problems can be very satisfying and fun, and everyone should try to accomplish things on their own. Unfortunately, we all get stuck occasionally and need help. That's what the forums are for.
How much help is too much help though? I think that's something the community should discuss and perhaps the forum administrators should give direction on.
Without a manual, the "Learning to Program with Alice" book, it's tough to know when someone is asking a homework specific question. Regardless, what are the boundries for sharing information? Remember not everyone here is a student or a teacher.
I'd like to see more people sharing code and example worlds. I don't think we are giving away homework secrets, and if we are perhaps the forums should be moderated more strickly and the archives cleaned out because a lot of information can be found there. Should the community suffer so that all of Alice's secrets remain buried for the student to unearth on their own?
