transition from walk to jump

How can I smooth out the transition from walking to jumping, actually running to jumping. I tell the object to walk, then just, but there is a slight pause, if i have it run and jump at the same time he is walking on air.

Is there a style, that can be set to abruptly? somtimes abrupt animations can work for combining 2 different movement together
