 I know how to save them from the gallery and everything, but when I try to upload them,it says "Windows cannot open this file:
File: Forest.a2c

To open this file,Windows needs to know what program created it,Windows can go online to look it up automatically,or you can manually select it from a list of programs on your computer.

What do you want to do?

Use the Web service to find the appropriate program

Select the program from a list"

I tried both, but neither allow me to open it ...I need help!!!! I am new,so I need an explanation, since I want to make a fantasy game.

I apologize but I am somewhat confused by your terminology: upload. The file Forest.a2c should be located on your machine in ...\Alice\Required\Gallery\Fantasy\Fairies. If you want to add the Forest object to your world then you simply click the Add Objects button in your world and locate it in the Gallery and then click on it.

The error message you have posted is one you normally receive when you double-click on a file to open it. In this particular case if you use Window's Explorer and find the file and then double-click on Forest.a2c you get that exact same error msg because Windows does not know why type of program to associate with the file extension in order to open it. (You can not 'open' an object file, .a2c, directly - you access it thru the Alice IDE.)

I'm sorry that I don't fully understand the problem but based upon the above if you could restate it I'm sure someone in this forum can give a better explanation for solving the issue.

fAnTaSeDeLVeR based on what you prvt'd to me you want to Download the file Forest.a2c from the Web Gallery.

Click on the file name in the Web Gallery. When the File Download window appears Don't click on the Open button, select the Save button. Place the saved file in your ...Alice\Required\Gallery\Fantasy folder.

NOTE: Check to ensure file was not saved with .Zip, if so you must change to .a2c before you can use.

Good luck and let the forum know if you have any problems.
