Is It Possible? (Question about game creation)

I am looking to create a fantasy based game,I was told that Alice enabled you to do so,so I downloaded it..however,the tutorials there only show how to make objects do things,is it possible to take control of a character,like...you know,control it like in a video game...and take it through the world?

Also,is it possible for your characters to enter buildings? I never saw anything about that..

Please respond if you can help,if you know of a place where I can learn to make characters for the players,please let me know of it.

I made a sort of fantasy game, its very basic, no fancy dialog etc, but ya, you could make 1 if you spend enough time.
allowing you to enter buildings is kind of hard, first, the collision won't work the same, ofcourse you can control a character, you just need the right codes. It is also possible to "pick up" objects. My project was basic but it is extremely laggy, so i don't develop that much
