Greetings all.
For this week's assignment in a class I am supposed to design an Alice world where a user inputs a number and the object jumps and spins the number of times entered.
I can set up a world but I have no clue how to achieve this and could use a little help, even if it's just directing me to page numbers in our textbook. (An Intro to Programming Using Alice)
Any help would be appreciated.

I did, it didn't help.
I'm not asking for anyone to do anything for me, it was a simple request for help from someone who is absolutely frustrated.
So, you could help point me in a right direction like I simply asked OR you could post another snarky comment like I'm an idiot while being unhelpful.
Either way, thanks for your time.

That is strange, the book doesn't seem to talk very much (or at all) about the "ask user for a number" function, but that's what you need to use. Have a variable set its value to "ask user for number", then use the variable to define the index for a loop.
And don't get mad at xxledzeppelin2x3, he's just making sure you're not another one of those users who comes looking for stuff online because they're too lazy to do it themselves.

Thank you very much for the push in the right direction, I appreciate it, I had an idea of what to do just not the exact clarity on execution.
and ledzep would be better off not making assumptions about people, especially when some work a full time job and go to school full time on the side.

Okay rereading I come off like a jerk, so, Ledzepplin, I'm sorry I wasn't friendly in my responses to you.
For what it's worth, my professor in my online class hasn't been helpful at all (such as not returning email requests for help) and over the past four weeks of this five week class I've spent a lot of time doing a ton of reading and research in order to complete assignments.
In other words, using the index was one of my first courses of action and coming here to ask a question that may or may not be answered at all was a last resort option.
Obviously, you had no clue to any of this and I'm sure there are some who come here first before putting in any effort, and I'm sure having to entertain those types could lead to "shoot first" mentality when anyone says "hey i have homework can you help out".
Anyways, x2495, thank you for your help, I figured it out and now have things set up correctly.

you asked for a page number, you could flip through the book and find the page just as easily as we could.. that's why i thought you were just another lazy person who came on here just for us to do his work. i apoligize if i came off like a jerk (which i did).
