Alice 4

I dont know if they are going to make an Alice 4, but Alice 3 looks very detailed and progressive in expansion toward making project and games. I dont know how to use I made a couple of moves and characters, i made NEO from the Matrix, btw great movie. Chris101n should make Warzone 2 with it. Alice 4 will be great and may be exclusively for games and might become a whole entire product.

Yes you would have to buy it, but it would be worth it. What do you guys think the price would be

The whole point of Alice is to provide a free program to help students understand the concepts of programming. They would not put a price on it, it would be accessible to everyone for free.

I have no idea, I have not even tried 3.0 yet. I am hoping that they look at our suggestion box though, because there are some good ideas in there.

I'm thinking they will probably fix a few things from Alice now, like making the video exporter work, and will upgrade the gallery by putting more objects in.

I'd be a little dissapointed if a lot of people started using a $70 program, when I am stuck with 2.2, because I would have a lot of trouble whipping up 70 bucks I can spend on stuff like Alice. People wouldn't talk about 2.2 or look at 2.2 worlds, and using the forums would then become pretty pointless for me. But that's just my opinion.

Also, many high school classes use Alice to teach basic components of computer programming and with school budgets being cut in some states, the educational system would not be able to afford alot of $70 programs.

Yah well one thing is that they might make a whole entire new program called Alice ULTAMITE or something that is made specifically for video games and had all video game components in it. It would cost like 25$ or 30$. Something like that

And do you think the programs made in Alice Ultimate would be compatible to run with Alice 2.0+?

No i do nto think they would, but possibly Alice 3 projecst would work. Alie 2.0 and 2.2 projects dont work in Alice 3, but...

Alice 2.0 games MIGHT work with Alice 2.2
Alice 2.2 and 2.0 games DO NOT work with Alice 3
Alice 3 games MIGHT work with Alice ULTAMITE

I ve tried my games in different versions of alice. The ALice 2.2 game might not work in Alice 2.0 because of serten variables. Variables are programmed differently in Alice 2.2 than in 2.0 so i would recommend Alice 2.2 for all ALice users, besides Alice 3 is very complicated, unfinished, and is not usable because there is no tutorial.

So Alice Ultamite would be for games not programs. Its would be only for games
