How to get audio on Alice?

Hello! I am a new user and am pretty good at Alice. Though there was one question I had, how do you record sounds and make the characters say them or at least look like they are saying them. I am getting tired of having to type everything and I want to have more sound options. If anyone can help please do. I know my microphone on my computer is not broken as I use it for skype very often.

I don't know what the record function in Alice was supposed to do, but it doesn't work. If you need sound in Alice, use online clips or use a different recording program to make the sound files, then import them when they're done (make sure they're in MP3 format).

after you recorded the spoken sentence and saved it on the pc as a WAV or MP3 file (I used the normal Windows record function), you use the method "play sound" with the option "import sound" and enter the name of your sound file.:)
