I have downloaded and edited a barge model, dock bollard model and dock bumper. There are 4 textures for the barge and a texture for the bollard and bumper.

1) Simply extract the files from the zip archive.
2) Import the model(s) you want to use into Alice.
3) Resize the models to fit
4) Import the texture(s) you wish to use from the attached textures folder.
5) Apply textures

easy. :D

Coming soon:
-tanks
-easter island rocks
-fantasy stuff

Nah, he got 'em from katsbits.com in the ase models section. Same place I got the rocks for my lava scene (and the lava textures, actually).

hmm, I'm just wondering now: is there a place where there is 1 list of a lot of these kind of sites where you can find all this? Would be easier to just have all that type of info in 1 spot.

Not at the moment, but that's partially because a bunch of new, small sites get discovered all the time. The biggest ones, though, are listed in my "How To Import Objects Into Alice" post.

Oh, never thought to look at your post for websites, been finding objects myself, but then I fix the files up to suit Alice and be more user friendly:cool:

Yup, that's the way I do it, too.

Sketchup models are good, but I've noticed that common, textured models are generally better (lower poly with better looks), so if you can find some models that are Alice friendly that I can't, by all means convert and post them. It'd be a big help in expanding the Alice Gallery.
