Need help with 3D model of rope/noose

I'm making an educational version of Hangman. However, I'm having trouble with the rope and the noose. Since the noose is made invisible at a particular point in the game, it must be separate from the rope. Attached, please find my best effort (cylinders and a torus with a rope skin) to make a swingling rope.

If it's hard for you to do that, maybe you should make the rope flat by making a billboard.
