.1 how many people in the community have been banned?

.3 why were they banned?

yea this is from an earlier account. sadly, my old account was banned for "advertising" so i made a new account and posted MY world there.

i have changed from my evil ways and will no longer advertise on my account.:)

I'm honestly not sure who else ever gets banned. But I'm like so glad that the Alice Forums has a very strict policy! Therefore, I barely get any of my threads to get infected with noobism! In ROBLOX, people create cool places using lots of hard work! They hope they can get popular! But some noobs in ROBLOX say it ain't enough! That irritates me! Why, some noobs even flame their heads off over some place that already is popular! But I always report them! One of them already got banned for noobism, believe it or not! :)

I dunno why, but for some reason, I was banned from ROBLOX. It said it was because of profanity. Puh! That makes ROBLOX pretty much a giant noob army because the moderators only ban people who use words that are a little less cruel than the real noobs there.

My account was disabled for 7 days because of *profanity. I mean, come on! Who cares about profanity!? ROBLOXians use it all the time in different servers! Yet they are not banned! I always report constant rude people. They are never banned! Now look at me! I didn't even have to be reported for "account disablisation"! In ROBLOX, people like to get flamy over stuff. I use words as cruel as theirs to defend my posts! Then I get kicked or banned. In RTB, same thing. Except I barely get banned for anything. And that makes Blockland better than ROBLOX!

Please redefine the way you think of hacker. I like to think of myself as a 'hacker', but that doesn't mean that I steal people's passwords or anything like that. Also, many people who fit your description of 'hacker' are actually ethical hackers. These people try to find loopholes in the security of systems like forums and websites and games, and then they report them to the developers so that they can be FIXED before anyone on the wrong side of things finds it out.

As for me, I hack in a different way. I enjoy taking devices that are meant for one thing (Take a calculator) and making them do totally different things. (Like play games)

Tons of definitions to think about:

a: to write computer programs for enjoyment
b: to gain access to a computer illegally

HACKER:

1: one that hacks
2: an expert at programming and solving problems with a computer
3: a person who illegally gains access to and sometimes tampers with information in a computer system

I highlighted the ones that you may have overlooked. Hacking is an enjoyable activity for many. Also, many people who build software or websites like to refer to themselves as hackers. He's right you know? Would you consider Arty-FishL a hacker just because he wanted to change the Alice JavaScript code? In my opinion, it is okay to do something like that, just as long as you don't go around and try to start claiming it as your own program. I like to call myself a hacker as well, and I don't even know how to do half the stuff that Arty-FishL, or zonedabone for that matter, do.

The forums automatically detect when someone makes a new account on the same computer, so noobraper was auto-banned when he made the second account.
Ex.: This (http://www.alice.org/community/showthread.php?t=6381) recent thread.

It also detects when a user logs on to the forums from a computer that already has a user registered on it.
I went to my friend's house (he also has an Alice Community Forums account), logged on to my account, and the alice_admin detected that. No automatic action is taken here, however.

Kind of. You would first be banned for making the second account, and the name would not be taken into consideration. End.

However, if you managed to slip by being banned (for instance, making the second account on different computer), then eventually people would notice your name, and request that you be banned, and I'm sure x2495iiii would kindly oblige. :)

I don't ban users who use multiple logons. No one does. It's done automatically. I also have no access to the users who have been moved to the prevention usergroup.

I do know that you can keep one account if multiples are detected, which is why dubs isn't banned. I also know that users who have one of their accounts banned are automatically banned if they try to make another one on the same computer.

P.S.: If you look at the data in my thread, it says, "Caught By: Cookie" so it probably determines a duplicate account using cookies. Somebody try clearing your cookies, and trying it.

I was banned from a forum that used the exact same software as this, so I can tell you first hand. What happens is you log in, and then you get a message that pops up that says you were banned. It stores a cookie on your computer that causes that message to pop up automatically upon visiting the forum. I was banned for trolling, which doesn't make sense considering that I don't troll.
