All right, problems noted: Typical converted file. Is only good for looking at. Objects need to have their xforms reset and pivot points repositioned. Needs to be properly reset into subobjects and probably requires vertex welding. Freshly converted objects often have split and overlapping vertices which can almost double the size of the thing.
The object's grip has not been properly attached to the gun and because of that, disappears when looking at it from an angle. For converters, it is good to know this, because in Alice, an object that is considered to be missing "sides" and is not a complete object will have some polygons or the entire object disappear from an angle.

well these are my very first items converted, i knew the pivot points were going to be a problem for people, but i have no idea how to fix that, other than that, i really don't know what your talking about it vanishing at angles, i didn't notice and i turned and flipped each object completely to make sure nothing was missing?

If you can explain how to fix these problems though, i would not mind going back and fixing them, i would like to start converting more objects for use of the community, so any help would be appreciated.

Cool, do you think you could do a good looking computer, moniter, keyboard, and mouse? Possibly Speakers would be good to, and a desk.

if i can find the models, i will be more than willing to convert them for you. i don't know how to set the pivot points though, so if that isn't a problem, than i'll try to do it later today.

Pretty cool. Low poly = good for multiple copies. If I ever have a world that needs guns all over the place, I know where to go.

Thanks X, I think I may have found a way to fix the origin problem with these items, so I might go back and re do them.

Haha, you did it! Thanks

And no problem!, if you need anything else, just let me know. :)

Pros:

Good polygon amount
High quality model
Full color

Cons:

Subparts a little messed up

Overall

90/100 by Chrome Games

The model is good. It could have a little better subparts, because the leg on the left side is by itself and the right is attached, I found that odd. The color works great and the model size is perfect. great job!

AWESOME!!! :D im glad to see you created a rating!! and i can do another model, because thats just the way that one came out to be, I literally have no idea why it twisted and moved in random parts.

New weapon I created for the use of the community. low polycount, origin is right where it should be,subparts actually named . hope everyone enjoys.

EDIT: I realized people probably want a machinegun where you actually can have a detachable clip, so I went back and re did this so it would have a removable clip, enjoy

Pros:

Great Polygon Count
Perfect subparts
Perfect Axis

Cons:

Could be a little more detailed

Overall

93/100 by Chrome Games

The model is almsot perfect! All it needs is little detail improvements and it will be higher rating. The rotation axis is really good! I can allign the gun perfectly to me, and the clip works great. Good job! Make more!

Add lick safety locks, Iron sight, and a detachable grenade launcher

sfunk
05-01-2011, 12:00 PM
alright, i'll try getting those done tonight, if not it should be done tomorrow as long as school doesn't pile on any homework

EDIT: Found the time to do it today, here you go. The gernade launcher is detachable, so is the scope, magizine clip, and iron sight and flash light, the only problem is, to cut down on file size i didn't include inside polygons, so when you detach some of the items, there will be a hole in the gun, so a quick fix to that is just put a square or something to cover it, they shouldn't be to noticeable

Shotty1-3

Pros:

Good Axis lines
Perfect Subparts for all models

Cons:

All models could be more detailed
The models are ok

Overall Set Score

75/100 by Chrome Games

The models are ok. The subparts work but upclose they aren't all the good looking. The second shotty is clunky and could be more detailed. The polygon count is good but you can still raise it up a bit with out lowering the scores. Overall, I give it a 75

sfunk
05-04-2011, 08:47 PM
i'll revisit these objects to add more detail, but its easier to add detail then actually creating a general design or taking detail away (some actions can't be undo without a lot of work and time lol), so if anyone needs any types of these shotguns, and have any ideas for what they want them to do, i'll add it to it, but no sense in creating greatly detailed models if they never get used haha

jediaction

sfunk

this will probably be the last shotgun i make, it's a double barreled shotgun obviously.

-named sub parts
-able to make it look like its being reloaded.
-finally got different axis for sub parts to work,(with this, i may create alot more models now.)

The rocket launcher is something I made awhile ago, and the link model is something I converted about a month ago, and since I really don't have time to make new models or anything I was putting these up to just keep putting models up for people to use.

Pros:

Removable Clip

Cons:

No Color
Hard Edges

Nice model, but could be a little more polished. Good first attempt. There should be color and a little smoother edges, because this model can only be used from a distance. Keep up the good work though.

Finally, somebody gets a Link model up here for us to use for either 1) Our own non-canon installments in The Legend of Zelda series 2) A Super Smash Bros. game or 3) A Soul Calibur game. Hey, Link was playable as a guest character in the Nintendo GameCube version of Soul Calibur II, much like Spawn in the Xbox version and Heihachi from Tekken for PS2 owners of the game, and Darth Vader, Yoda and Starkiller in Soul Calibur IV, with Vader for PS3 owners, Yoda for Xbox 360 players and Starkiller for both, until the release of special $5.00 DLC packs allowing players to play as the character they didn't get originally in the version they chose, and also Kratos in Soul Calibur Broken Destiny for the PSP, and Lloyd Irving in Soul Calibur Legends for the Wii. Hmm, they also planned to have Resident Evil's Leon S. Kennedy in Soul Calibur III. Just kidding. It was supposed to be Dante from Devil May Cry, but the first installment in that series actually started out as an early version of Resident Evil 4. Unfortunately, Dante didn't make the cut for Soul Calibur III.
