alice dosent seem to run tutorials well

so when i run alice its okey
i run the tuturial 1 ok
when i run the penguin program and rabbit (i press play)
its runs this bug:

when i run most things some when it will get this bug and the program will stop
what to do?
ah and in alice.org
i read the help documant
it reads that if i can run the park its ok
and the park runs welll
just not the other stuff
ah and: i did try the other exe file for alice
it dosent work.
what to do?
i love alice its a great program.

This is a sound card issue. Alice can't recognize a valid sound card. Do you have one installed, and is it working? If so, can you make sure the latest drivers are installed? (I know from personal experience...back when I first started this job, I was testing a beta version of Alice on an old machine from the dinosaur era. Busted ancient sound card. Same error. Swapped it with a non-busted ancient sound card and voila...no problem.) :)

It depends on whether you've installed Alice by the book and CD or if you've downloaded it from the main site. If you have the CD, then look around here in the forums and see some of the amazing works other people have posted. If you downloaded the program, try looking for the full gallery of objects on the main page. Hopefully, if I remember correctly, there should be something on there with some sample worlds or something.

I'm not 100% sure, so I would just look around in the forums for the custom-made content. :D
