This seems to happen whenever I have been making a fair amount of progress.

It totally crashes my save data, and i have to restore from my last checkpoint. I've set Alice to remind me to save every few minutes so I don't have to restore from a long time ago, but it's still time consuming, and very annoying to lose my work at all.

If there any known fix for this problem, or will I just have to keep saving frequently?

Is it just files with 3D texts, or you have seen similar error in other files. How big is the file and are you experiencing memory problems or slowness in the program?
