Last update for Mac was 10 months ago. It would be nice to get an update that would let me run Alice without emulating it with Rosetta. PowerPC was 5 years ago, so I'm not sure why this hasn't been done already.

EDIT: Alice 2.2 NEEDS to be updated. It doesn't work at all on Mac OS X Lion.

EDIT 2: Alice 2.2 is Universal now and works on Lion. This thread can now be deleted.

To clarify, I'm talking about Alice 2, not Alice 3. Alice 3 already runs on Intel. I would like to open up my Alice 2 projects, though.

Check the next Alice 2.2 update. Should be out sometime in August.

I look forward to the Intel version. I just upgraded my Mac to Lion, which no longer supports PowerPC via RosettaStone. This means that Alice is one of the programs I can no longer use.

I'm still waiting for a response from the Alice team. I hope we can get this resolved. Alice 2.2 can't run at all on Lion.

Nope. It only "works" on Intel with Rosetta. Alice is strictly for PowerPC Macs, which are over 5 years old. Intel Macs can run it in an emulator called Rosetta, which takes PowerPC code and let's you run it on an Intel processor. Rosetta doesn't work on Lion, and never will. So, Alice will never run on Lion unless it is updated for Intel. The system requirement list is wrong now.
