I just updated my Alice file. There's a whole bunch of new models, including a few new groups and some colored lights. Thanks Alice team.

Are you talking about the new update?

I guess so. I wouldn't know too well, since I only recently had need to re-download Alice. New laptops are fun.

I do enjoy the loads of stuff they put in the newest version.

The only problem I have with it is the weird gray-screen problem that happens when you start a world running.

You know, I haven't actually started a world with the new copy yet. So yeah I missed that part.

How does one get this update?

New laptops are fun.

I just got a laptop myself. It isn't new, but I have always wanted a laptop to call my own.

I had those colored lights a few days ago on the web gallery but now they're gone...why is that?

Probably because they've been moved to the permanent gallery in the newest version of Alice.

Also, to update, just download the latest version from the downloads page and delete the older version from your hard drive. Since Alice doesn't install per-se, all you have to do is grab the new one and ditch the old one.

Will it still have all my alice projects that im currently working on? or do i have to save them and then import them in?

If you saved your .a2w files to the same folder as the Alice icon and the "Required" folder or inside the "Required" folder, then yes you'll have to move your files, but you can move them with Windows Explorer. Just move them to your desktop or to a temporary folder, delete the Alice 2.2 folder, then download the new version.

Ok thanks. I'm working on a huge project right now and I wouldn't want to lose it. I just didn't know if deleting Alice would get rid of my saved files.

BTW is this just a 2.2 update or is it the 3.0 Alice that I'll be downloading?

It's 2.2.
