Recover missing event editor panel?

Sometimes Alice gets into the state shown in the attached image where the Events Editor panel is missing.

Does anyone know:

1. What am I doing to get into this state?

2. How I can recover short of terminating and restarting Alice?

There may be other ways, but it's easy to get something like that as you adjust the window size and the sizes of the various editing areas (see attached), especially if you make some areas small. This is also one way to loose visibility of the "File" menu - which happened as I was generating the attached example. (Think I'll call it "The Scream" :eek: )

Don't have any sure quick fix other than just trying to size the windows back to where they were. Possibly you could do something with the .alice file (that's been suggested to get the menu back) - but that doesn't qualify as a "quick" solution, at least for me.
