I have some coursework to submit tomorrow using Alice, it was working fine until today when it refused to open and kept giving me this error message:

Throwable that caused the error:
edu.cmu.cs.stage3.alice.core.IllegalNameValueExcep tion: Unfortunately, something else in this world is already named "index," so you can't use that name here.

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:662)

All the backups for the file created by Alice for the file also come up with the same error message and my own backups appear not to work as well. I searched online and could not find a solution and was wondering if there is one to my problem at all or whether I have to start from scratch? This would be extremely bad as the assignment was nearly completed when it was corrupted and as you know there is only two days left to submit the file and I also have other assignments due for other classes.

So what can I do about this? Is this solvable or shall I just start again from scratch - I've attached the file if anybody has any interest.

Thanks you for your time

I removed a method with parameters called "PressUps", which was causing an error. When a popup tells you to "Set all values to none", go ahead and press Yes. It won't do any harm. It's simply setting dropdown boxes to their default values.
Go ahead and do that PressUps method over.
