STOP: This thread is being abandoned and the newly redone and completed Resident Hyrule is up on the thread Resident Hyrule Fixed and Completed!!!!, So please go there and check out the latest version.

Important

The new game was redone using the newest version of Alice up to date and the OS I am using is Windows 7, so if you have any trouble playing, these might be reasons as to why.

Zombies aren't turning red for me. Also, shooting should be MUCH faster. I find between .016 and .04 seconds ideal.

Hold down A to aim, while aiming, turn to make the resd laser to make contact with zombie, zobmie turn red, once zombie==red, press S and zombie die. also the firing speed is upgradeable, I purposely made it slow

very confusing controls.:confused:

Hold down A, then Press s whenever you want to shoot, how is that confusing?

It doesnt let me kill them, otherwise it looks good

I understand, and I'm saying the detection method isn't turning them red for me, meaning I can't shoot the zombies.

Also, I understand the slowness, but at the moment, it's so slow that it's physically impossible to shoot all four zombies before they reach you.

I tested the game from round 1 to round 20 three times (played the entire way until the speed of the zombies and upgrades maxed out) and it was just the right amount of challenge, it is possible)
I'll make a video and put it up on youtube to show that it is, and i'll also upload the game to dropbox or something like that since everytime I upload a game to the alice forums directly, everyone has a hard time playing them

The controls are clunky and don't flow as well as the official Resident Penguin, but it's nice to see other versions now. The shooting is very slow like stated above but the music is nice. I'm not sure what else to say becuase a lot has been covered above.

How are the controls clunky? further explain, also how do they not flow? you use two buttons to turn a character which works immediately upon button press, and hold one key to aim and one to shoot? which work without and hesitation or lag and the controls are spaced nicely to keep from hand cramping, And for the shooting being slow, do you people not understand that it is one of the upgrades in the game? as soon as you start the game, you are introduced to the store menu which says Turning speed and Firing Speed, if these are confusing to the members I will make a little introduction on what they are?

And the music is credited to a couple of different people on youtube, audiomachine being one mostly

It's not that they don't understand the slow firing speed as being part of an upgrade, it's that they don't like being hampered by it.

They said the exact same thing (several times) about RP's turning speed.

Also, I still am not getting red zombies from the new version.

EDIT:The target function isn't working, for me at least. I implemented the system I used in RP and it works.

I'm guessing my upload got corrupted like normal. I just downloaded the newest version of Alice 2.2 to see if it worked on it and I had no trouble on there either. but I am just starting the game from scratch, making a few changes, but I am keeping the same bullet_detection because it works wonderfully for me. I'll upload the new world I am starting with the bullet detection implemented to see if it works for you.(will be done shortly)
