We are trying to start Alice 2.3 in a school environment (Windows 7 Professional clients, 32-bit, 2GB RAM with a Windows 2008 server). But because we want the students to be able to take home their Alice data and Alice worlds we've chosen to copy the Alice folder to a USB-stick and run the program form the USB-stick.

The program starts without any problem if I start Alice from the USB plugged in to my (stand alone) laptop (Windows 7, SP1, 64-bit, 2.3GHz, 6GB RAM).

But when we try to start the program from USB on a PC in our schoolnetwork we get an error message and Alice won't start.

The error message is the following:
Alice version: 2.3
os.name: Windows 7
os.version: 6.1
os.arch: x86
java.vm.name: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
java.vm.version: 20.0-b11
user.dir: F:\Programmeren\Programma Alice\Alice2.3\Required

Has someone encoutered this problem before? And is there a way to solve this? Any help is appreciated.
