Sinking

So my wolf who is supposed to be chasing a bunny sinks into the ground more and more as it moves until it is entirely swallowed up by the ground. I have read all the posts here about it and tried everything and the wolf just keeps sinking, does anyone know a solution ?

Maybe!

You probably moved the wolf around too much when setting up the scene. Try right-clicking on the Wolf button in your world, and use the "Orient to Ground" method.

I tried that but he starts to move backward then ? He is supposed to be chasing the bunny but when i used your method he moves towards the bunny backwards ...
And he is still sinking for some reason

I'll try looking for a solution. ;)

Hmm

Another possibility is that you are using the moveTo or moveToward method.

If you click on the Wolf, notice where the three axes( converge. Now click on the Bunny, notice the same. Doing a moveToward or moveTo moves the center points together. Try moving the Bunny to the Wolf to see the inverse.:o

Look for the distanceTo Function for the Wolf instead.
Do together
{
Loop infinity times
{Wolf orient to ground
}
do in order
{ (THE REST OF YOUR METHOD HERE)
}
}
Try that

Yeah so the wolf has to chase the bunny, and i have made up my own method in order to make the wolf take a step but he moves towards the bunny obviously because he has to chase it.
Is this why he is sinking? Because of the "towards" option maybe ?

I am trying the last suggestion, thank you, but i am having no luck so far :S

It's quite possible. Try having the wolf move forward instead of toward the bunny.

You may want to try using the Quad View Tool at the top right corner of your screen, to make sure the wolf is at ground level. Also check that wolf is not inclined. If there is any incline, this would cause the wolf to sink into the floor as he walks. This is my best guess. I hope it helps.

I am currently making an example world for you. I'll post it once I finish making it.
