Default Topics for middle school science teachers - 02-17-2009, 10:29 PM

I have an opportunity to talk to some of our area's future middle school science student teachers. I'm going to introduce them to Alice with the hopes that they will want to use it in their classroom next year. So far, this is with the blessing of the students teachers advisers at my U, and there are several progressive teachers in the schools district willing to try new approaches.

So, what would be a couple of good "projects" to work on that would be age appropriate - for middle school students, not college students. I want to show how Alice can be used to teach their science topics, not just computer science.

I'm good with Alice, it's the material for this group that is the challenge. I know it's short notice, it was for me too!!!

Thanks much,

Did you present to the middle school teachers? I would like to bring this to our middle school. Do you have any advice?
