Lightbulb Car Collision Detection - 11-07-2009, 11:37 PM

Hey everyone I just finished this collision detection world for cars. It works almost perfectly and should be helpful for a racing game, if you want to be able to bump each other. All I did was set up shperes and other shapes on different edges of my cars, and use them to check collision. It is fairly complicated for just two cars, but I figure it can be used with a list (I think), and if not, its worth having collision detection.

sounds good. I added another car and I turned it in to a game where you have to park a car in different spots without hitting the other cars. You control the red car. This is the beginning of level 1: (Back in for a bonus)

Here is the newest version of my parking a car game, with three levels, including anormal park, a parallel park, and a tight squeeze. I still need to add in a scoring and lives feature, which will give you more points for backing in and for being quick. For now, it is just fun to play around with, and it shows off my collision detection. Hope you enjoy. Please comment and vote.
