Default Creating a menu problem - 06-04-2011, 12:10 PM

I am creating a game using Alice 2.2, I want to create a menu that can be called by typing a key. I placed dummy camera facing the text (my menu made by a bunch of 3D text) and another facing the object the player moves. I made a event "when key is typed" call a method that sends the camera to the dummy facing the text (camera - set point of view to -dummy1 point of view), then when key is typed again go back to the object (camera - set point of view to - dummy2 point of view). The method and event works, my problem is when I try saving, a error pops up and doesn't allow me to save, and I know for sure the error is created by setting the camera point of view to another object because I was able to save before I created that method, but not after.

Does anyone know how to fix this error problem or know another way in which I can create a Help menu without having to set a camera to a objects point of view?

Try and save again, then copy/paste the error given.

(Copy Error to Clipboard)

Additonally, by default, Alice saves as many as 8 backup copies for each world. This can sometimes lead to a loss of storage space, especially if you load a bunch of objects. Alice will not tell you that there isn't enough space; only that it cannot save.

If storage is the problem:
1) Delete any unneeded backup folders.
2) In Seldom Used preferences, drop the # backups to 2 or 3.
