Default Your sound file cannot be played in Alice. - 01-02-2010, 08:30 PM

Hello,

I just downloaded 2.2 and was going through the tutorials when I got the following message. This error popped up when I ran the Defending Neptune tutorial.

Your sound file cannot be played in Alice.
Please find an audio editor to convert the file to one with a PCM encoding.
See the tutorial on converting sound files at our Alice website.
Right click to clear the messages here.

I searched the forum and the site but couldn't find any info on it. I could play all the sounds in the sound folder manually. Anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Check the tutorials sticky at the top of the How Do I...? forum for issues with tutorials.

I cannot find the tutorials sticky that addresses the "unable to handle format:" error. Search under forum for issues with tutorials. However, this is not a tutorial. I cannot even record sound on my machine.
