Default Help with Alice 3 - 01-28-2015, 07:55 PM

I was just wondering if anyone new a way to make a smooth animation in Alice 3? Not styles but something similar to the "move at speed" code in Alice 2... Any help is appreciated as im trying to make a smoothly animated game on Alice 3.

I suspect that the developers decided that the "move at speed" was redundant, and not as flexible as the standard "move" when used with the available options.
Additionally, use of the standard methods encourages students to experiment and gain a better understanding of coding and logic flow.

My little fishy snippet demonstrates a way to accomplish the task in either version of Alice, and also points out possible timing issues that good programmers might often need to address.

It also demonstrate that .a3p worlds still need to be zipped to be uploaded to the forums.

Thanks but that not really what im looking for, it still gives the same 'choppy' animation between move statements, what im looking for is something more fluid.

The best programmers are the ones who can take the tools that they are given and use them to create what they want.
Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they don't.
The ones who push themselves to succeed are usually the first ones to get promoted.
