I am teaching at the University for Applied Sciences in Darmstadt/Germany ( in the department of media.
I am thinking about using Alice in the course and played around with it, making a simple walkcycle that can be controlled with the cursors.
What I am thinking about is to get a simple but believable and good looking animation for the characters.
I tried to use the acm-import to get different poses of the character, but I ended up with the error-messages.
Anybody has experiences or tips how to use that?
Is there a way to avoid the short break when a loop starts over?
I imported the geometry from maya with the ActorX plugin. Unfortunately there is no object hirachy imported and also the pivots are missing, so you have to add them directly in the ascii file.
Anybody knows annother plugin that exports this properities from maya to ASE too?

Thanks a lot for any help.
