Default Memory Use - 08-06-2010, 11:23 PM

I'm trying to keep the space used by my game low, but what is the best way to do this. I'm pretty much done with objects and i have used 15 mb. How much space does coding take?

It depends on the size of the game, for example in my Tank game I used a lot of fancy animation and it still only took up maybe 2 mb of space. Objects are really what use up the most though, so don't worry too much about coding space.

Check out my best projects so far and please comment:

One good thing to do is recycle objects and textures. For example, if you have 5 tanks, but noly a few are showing at once, reuse tanks from other places with a tank list of sorts. The benefits increase as you recycle more. If you only see one tank at a time, but you have 50 total, you still only need 2 tanks.
