Split string to individual char's

I'm trying to accomplish the following:

After a user enters a string i need this string to be separated to individual chars.

Does Alice have a function or method to do that?

String = A series of letters variable

Char = 1 letter variable

Chars are used in most programming languages, but I guess alice deemed it not necessary
