Default is it possible to visibly label an object - 01-14-2010, 09:45 AM

Is there a way to attach a visible label or text to an Alice 3 object? For example, I would like to create a square object with the label "A" on it.

You could make a texture (in a photo editor) with a letter a on it, then import and apply the texture to the square.

Is it possible to import a texture into Alice 3? There are no import options on the menus. Is there another way to do it?

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry I completely missed that you said you were using Alice 3 earlier! Alice 3 can't import things yet. I guess I'd check to see if they'll let you create 3d text in Alice 3. If not, you'll have to find some physical property they'll let you change, like opacity or color, that will let you discern certain objects.
