Honestly, theres only one thing you need to know: how to download Alice (which is pretty easy). Alice is so simple and user-friendly, you can learn almost everything by yourself or through the many tutorials and example worlds built into Alice. I personally taught myself almost everything I know now on Alice within the first few months of experimenting. For the few things I was confused on, I came here and posted specific examples of my problem.

Just play around with it for awhile. See what kinds of commands are available to you, read the names of all of the methods and functions, and see if you can't find out each one's actions on your own.

Ok thanks, I have experience with C++ and java mainly so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard.

lol, you should have no problem then, but then again its more a drag and drop interface than a code kinda thing,

just remember when posting a problem, make sure to be specific, and explain why you came for help, cause there nothing more pissing off to ppl than someone who sounds like they want you to do everething for them or when they leave you with only something like "it wont work" as a question... when you see threads that no one answered, this is usually the case for why.

have fun using alice, its awesome!

Hi, I was reading some post to see if I could see why I'm not catching on. I have seen where a couple of people say it's easy. I'm new to this and have been struggling hard. I have the book 'Programming with Alice and Jav. I'm doing this for and online class. Is there any reference you can recommend. The post here sounds like everyone has taken some kind of class and pretty much know what they are talking about. Also, when I click to check out some of the world people have created, why can't I vew them. I get and error that says Adobe can't open. Can you help me with that? Thanks for any input. I hope I can find your reply.
