Not sure what you mean by "use vectors." Do you mean adding movement vectors geometrically, or do you mean using the vector drawing style?

Point of view means the object's place in space and its orientation in space, so having the camera set it's point of view to a dummy object will make the camera move to where the dummy object is, then turn/roll to look exactly where the dummy object is looking.

asSeenBy allows you to use other objects as reference points for motion. For example, you can have an object rotate in a perfect circle around another object by having the first object turn right 1 revolution asSeenBy the second object.

Ok thanks.

I used to play scratch, and i thought vectors were like "go to this x,y,z position.

Oh. That's more coordinates, not really vectors, and though there is a function for the xyz position of an object in an Alice world, it doesn't allow anything but setting the object to the origin of the world (0,0,0).

ok, so i have to use objects as those points.

Yet another question, can you point me at a good and easy texture editing program?

I use GIMP. It's powerful and free, but somewhat complicated (if you can use Photoshop, you can use GIMP).

Load the texts in MS Paint if you can't figure out GIMP.

Post the project and I'll see if I can fix it.

If your file is shot, then it's shot, there's almost no helping it. Try using the search function on your computer (typically located on the start button menu in the lower left or your screen) to find your backups.

Typically, though, Alice saves backups to a folder called "Backups of [filename]" that's locted in the same directory as your original file, so if your original world was on your desktop, the Backups folder will be there too.

I can ask another question though

EDIT: oh and gimp says its only for windows, and mac based ones?

I think point of view goes to the point of view to the object and assen by goes to a position of another object but in a different place
