I would suggest making it so that the dors move with the speed of the planes.

Like let's say you have a circle in the corner, psuedo code would be something like:

The dots move at 1/1000th the speed of the jets in the direction of the jets from the point of view of your plane.

Also, a fighterplane game was my first, it was awesome, relatively of course.

Very laggy, very hard, and would for some reason say that you won if you lost... There is no finished product yet, I spontaneosly work on it.

Also, how did you make the AI? I said

"
if the player is in front of the enemy, the enemy shoots
Else the enemy turns toward the player.

1) have a method when world starts to move two dummies frowards and to the side of the main character

3)insert the square for the box and a dot for each enemy

2) and copy the radar (distance method), replacing everytime you see a "rabbit" with your enemy object
Exactly! I tried, something went wrong and i got confused

Well that was the fun part, i jsut made it so if camera is within 10 meters or so to enemy1, enemy 1 orient towards player and the bullet shoots toward teh player a serten distance. If you get to far away from the enemy, his accuracy goes off and he cant hit you, its pretty simple

If anyone can reproduce cardsfan's radar system, but with dummy objects instead of animals, I'd be very grateful.

Now jedi, don't you think I'd have tried that by now? I wouldn't have asked if it wasn't something I couldn't figure out.

And no, it's not that it's not good enough. Yours actually seems better, debussybunny, but I was really confused as to why cardsfan's system seemed to only work with the animals as the objects in the distance arguments.

Ah, figured out a thing or two myself.

When making my map/radar/thingy, I tried to use object's distance in front of camera and object's distance to the left of camera, but it didn't work.

However, when I placed a dummy at the camera and set its vehicle to the camera, swapped out in front of camera for in front of dummy, it worked.

Not exactly sure why.
