Question IS it possible to convert an Alice world into a video file? - 03-16-2010, 02:17 PM

My last post was asking if it was possible to use Spanish characters in Alice 2.2 for a project I'm doing. I thought an alternative would be to make a video out the world I'm making and record the audio myself. Just one problem. When I try to use Windows Movie Maker, none of my Alice worlds can be used. So is it possible to convert an Alice World into a video file? If not, are there any alternatives?

you would have to record your world playing with a capture program then edit the capture.

Thanks. Do you have any preferences on what capture program I should use?

If you use Alice 2.2, it has software to record. File record. Before you do this, set the world speed to .25, and then add a X4 speed effect in Movie maker.

A cool thing in 3.0 is that it automatically adjusts game speed for recording. If you use 3.0, try it!
