Default Proximity Question - 10-23-2012, 06:08 AM

For my current project I have a proximity setup so when I get within a set distance of a certain object it will come to me. The problem I have is that I want it to stop chasing me when I get out of that distance.

I have given an example of what I am trying to accomplish in the attachment.

Thanks,
Aaron K

Here you go.

Having the zombie move to the camera, as you had him do, is basically asking him to teleport to the camera, making outrunning him impossible.

To make him chase you, you need to make him face the camera and move forward just a bit, but in a 0 second duration, making those tiny movements seem like one fluid motion.

The same goes for the motion of the camera. Making it move forward a tiny amount, but in a 0 second duration allows for smoother, less jerky movement. To increase the camera's speed, just increase the distance value.

Be sure to make the zombie slower than you, though, or again, outrunning him will be impossible.
