You know that in notepad you could gone to "edit->replace" and then replaced all of the "." with nothing. Takes a few seconds

The problem with that being: it would erase all the vital decimal points in the numeric specifications of the models.

Seriously you think I didn't think of that? I'm slightly insulted...

Oh, I thought that you were supposed to delete ALL of the decimal points. I was unbelievably surprised when I thought that you hadn't thought of it. Lol. I wonder if there is a way to highlight what parts of the txt file you want it to search.

Never thought of that, but that's because I'm pretty sure it can't be done, at least not in notepad.

I was thinking I could write a simple Java program which takes care of it automatically, but I'd have to work up the gumption to do so, since I hate working with Java.

Might work in Microsoft word... Ill test it.

Yep it does work in Microsoft Word. Just Ctrl-select what sections you want it to search, press replace, and then hit replace all. I am using Word 2007, so you might have to test if it works with older versions if you have it.

As cool as that is, it still isn't all that useful. See, since you already have to scroll through the entire text to find the names of the objects (I use ctrl-f "name" and then look for periods in the following parentheses), going through and highlighting just the name portions of the model (they're intermittent) would be just about as fast (maybe a little slower) than using ctrl-f to jump to each name and delete the periods manually.

Bad news: Their subpart structure doesn't support animation very well, all three characters have their thighs connected as one object. Also, I'll only be able to convert models like these for 30 days (29 now) since I'm using trial software.

Hopefully these can still be used in some way. The droid is fairly flexible, especially in the arm, and the lightsaber model is perfect, since it has no subparts.

If you all have some .glm models to convert 29 days from now, the program I used is MilkShape 1.8.4. Just google "Milkshape" and click the first link you get that isn't an ad.
man help me please i can't do that obi-wan, clone, .. walk the pivot is badplease put the pivot in the center of the objects please or please tell me how i can do that obi-wan and the other objects walk please thanks XD
