Default Problem with game - 12-10-2009, 06:26 PM

I'm making a basketball game where the object is to throw the ball into (or an area nearby) the net.

When the ball hits the net the game is supposed to move to another area of the world that proclaims: "You Win!".

I can't get it to work and it seems simple enough.

I have a method that if the ball is within a certain amount of meters of the basketball hoop the winning 3D words are displayed.

I'll add the game (a work in progress) to this thread.

Also I have a problem with walking into the ground (or the air). I've tried "If camera is within a certain amount of ground then move up 1 meter with a duration of 0 seconds.

It works... sorta.

Any other advice would be appreciated.

Again this is a work in progress so there are many more things (ie: objects, stuff to do) that I will add (the programming part is what I need advice on now).

Here, i fixed it. I also made the camera follow the basketball completely, and made the text "You Win" move to you rather than vice versa.

Hope I helped!

Cool!

I like your idea with the camera because it makes it look like a dunk.

Neat stuff.

Thanks.
