Ok please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but i haven't done this before.
I have searched all day and couldn't find a thread for this.

say i downloaded a file from the share area, what do i have to to to get it into alice? I have tried putting it into a gallery but that never works.
please help and thanks.

Ok first make sure the file you download is in .a2c. Then save it to somewhere you can find later. Now go into your Alice program and go to File then go down to where ti says import. Click that and find the file you downloaded and import it. It should then show up in your Object Tree. Hope this is what you asked for.

go to open worlds and open the file in alice (the a2w file)
then right click the object(s)
and then click save object as and then save it where you can find it

No problem, and to convert them, just find where you saved the file to, click it once then wait a second and click it again so you can change the name. Then save the object as "whatever.a2c" where whatever is the name of the object and .a2c is the file you want.
