After fooling around in Alice I have found the following helpful. -MR

Making a String print a Number:

Variables Number = 0, String = default string

String set value to ((number) as a string)

Under World - Function - String – use (what as a string) to transform number so string can print number

Using the World – Function - Advance Math - int a

I had an issue where my # outputs showed decimals. Using int a solved my decimal issue
